Guided Action Support

Adobe Acrobat’s Guided Action tool (previously known as Action Wizard) lets you automate a series of steps for working with PDF files. It can be used to create a repeatable workflow, such as adding a header/footer, converting files, or applying Bates numbering. This helps save time and ensures the same actions are applied consistently across multiple PDF files. AutoSplit adds the following commands to the Guided Actions:

• Split Document - split document into multiple
• Merge Document - combine PDF and Office files, from one or more folders, append or interleave pages
• Extract Portfolio - extract files from PDF portfolio file
• Merge Documents - merge files from multiple folders based on filename similarity
• Merge with Control File - merge documents using control files for precise processing workflows
• Delete Pages - delete page ranges from PDF files
• Auto-Rename - automatically rename PDF files using text from documents
• Delete Pages by Search - delete or replace PDF pages by text search
• Extract Pages by Search - extract pages with matching text from PDF files
• Divide Pages - divide pages into multiple smaller ones
• Separate Pages by Size - separate pages from PDF files based on page dimensions
• Delete Duplicate Pages - find and delete duplicate or near-duplicate pages

Run from Command-Line

Use AutoSplit Pro to start processing from command-line BAT file, Powershell or Python script. This functionality is useful when incorporating processing into existing workflows and running processing on schedule via Task Scheduler or similar tools.

Using Watch Folder to Convert, Rename and Process PDF Files

Monitor a folder for incoming files and apply one or more operations:
